Please see the various opportunities to help with Freedom School. This form is simply to collect names, contact information, and an interest inventory for our summer program.  A more specific sign-up sheet with date and time assignments will come on Sign-up Sunday, March 30!

Would you like to help with planning, set-up, and organization before Freedom School starts on June 18?
Various tasks include organizing supplies, setting up classrooms, etc. on June 16-17 and hours are flexible between 8am and 3pm.
Would you like to be a guest reader during the morning Harambee?
We will happily work around your schedule! Harambee takes place from 8:00-9am and we'll provide the book to read.
Would you like to read with a student during D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) time?
We can have as many as 50 volunteers in a day, so come once or come often during lunch! 11:30-12:00
Would you like to chaperone a field trip in the afternoon?
Our visits from 1-3pm could include Discovery Place, Ray's Splash Planet, Mint Museum, & many more!
Would you like to participate in afternoon activities at the school? If you have an idea of an activity or field trip to offer scholars, please indicate in "other".
These activities from 1-3pm might include a cooking class, chess, yoga, gymnastics, or board games!
Would you like to help shop for supplies needed for lessons and activities?
We'll provide the list and you do the shopping when you have an hour of free time!
YOUTH: Would you like to help with set-up of Freedom School's Jubilee (celebration & fundraiser) on July 10?
From 9:00-12:00, volunteers can help  set up tables and decorations for Jubilee on the following day.
YOUTH: Would you like to help with set-up of Freedom School's Jubilee (celebration & fundraiser) on July 10?
From 9:15-2:00, volunteers are needed directing arriving scholars from the bus to their tables in the Crown Ballroom, staff support as needed, additional child supervision, serving lunches to scholars and staff, and light clean-up.
Would you like to help with Field Day on July 15 & 17?
9:00-12:00 each day
Would you like to help with Parent Meetings on either July 10th, 17th, or 24th?
From 6-8pm, volunteers can help welcome parents, serve dinner, and supervise children.
Would you like to help with Cane Creek Day on July 23?
From 11am-2:30pm, volunteers  accompany children on an all-day field trip to Cane Creek Park in Waxhaw.  Participate and support in child supervision in swimming, paddle boating, miniature golf, and grilling and serving a cook-out lunch.
Would you like to help with our Freedom School Finale on the last day, July 30?
From approximately 10:00-1:00, volunteers can help with set-up, preparations, and clean-up of this celebration with family and friends
Would you like to donate to Pinewood's Freedom School?
We would greatly appreciate donations of any size and form!
