The community is on the prowl. Two weeks left in the Storm League season means content could be right around the corner. Yet no word has been heard from the developers. Are they busy creating the next hero or has something happened to our beloved team. The elephant in the room is exposed. Fans are nervous. Garret and Kyle take a look at the other MOBA markets and see what they’ve been up to during a tough year of development. After quelling, or perhaps stoking, concerns. The dudes take a look at win-rates since the patch, CCL content, your emails and more!

Intro:  Welcome to Into the Nexus! The Heroes of the Storm podcast!

Request for Heroes Reaches Fever Pitch

Tempted to not cover this at all. Downer naturally.

Could compare it to other MOBAs. DOTA has had one new hero this year.

Destructoid Article July 2020: with Brett “Daybringer” Crawford

“Personally, I don’t see any end in sight. We have a ‘Future Hero List’ that is in triple digits and still expanding. There are so many incredible things in development as well as backlogs a mile long that we still need to get to. I think Heroes will be around for a very long time.”

“Luckily enough, we have the freedom to take as much time as we need for every new Hero and the time between launches can be highly variable. Some Heroes come together rather quickly while others can take a massive amount of time before we feel they are ready to finally be welcomed by the Nexus. As for future Tanks, we have some in mind, but are not currently in active development on them.”

I've a bone to pick with y'all!

Recently someone asked about the best heroes for him and his buddy to play to climb out of low ranks (Bronze - Gold). As someone who recently went on a massive losing spree (don't ask). After falling from Plat 3 to Silver 4, I've found that playing the macro game as you suggested simply doesn't work. When your allies insist on fighting (even when fighting doesn't make sense), failing to fight with them ALWAYS tilts them, making the game almost impossible to win. If that person who asked the question feels like he and his friend are generally better than their rank, the fastest way to climb out isn't to play the "correct" way, but to embrace the madness. I would have recommended a hero combination like Imperious and Tychus which can rapidly kill almost any hero the enemy team might have. Because down in Bronze, Silver, and Gold, the thing that wins games is almost never taking camps at the right time or giving objectives when it doesn't make sense to contest them. Instead, it's straight up murdering the enemy team.

If you play a tank, you'll never get your ranged assassins to retreat when the fight isn't going your way. If you're focusing on pushing down a structure instead of taking the first tribute on Cursed Hollow (even when it ain't curse point), your teammates will tilt and then your chances of winning the game, even though you were doing the correct thing, fall into the Abyss.
