Music Scholarship Application form 2014
A limited number of music full and part scholarships will be offered in 2014 to promising students for private music tuition at Loreto College.  These scholarships are kindly funded by the Music Support Group.

Criteria for the scholarships are as follows:

Currently having private music lessons at Loreto college
Demonstrated regular attendance at lessons and application to practice
Proven commitment to and involvement in extra-curricular musical activities within the college
Family financial circumstances

Also taken into consideration will be the number of instruments being learnt by the student and in some cases the type of instruments being learnt.

This online application must be submitted by Friday 18th October.  

NB: The list of scholarships awarded remains confidential to the Music Department and the College Administration

Scholarship Obligations
It is an expectation of the Scholarship that good progress on the instrument continues to be made throughout the year.  This will require regular attendance at lessons and evidence of home practice (by the end of the first year this is likely to reach between 20 and 30 minutes/day at least four to five times/week).

It is also expected that the holder should participate fully in the musical activities of Loreto College, including becoming a member of a Loreto music ensemble once sufficient progress has been made.

General care and maintenance of instruments borrowed from the College is the responsibility of the Scholarship holder.

The scholarship will be reviewed at the end of Semester 1 when a progress report will be completed by the student’s music teacher.
