Michigan State University Men's Rugby
Greetings,

We are happy to hear you are interested in joining Michigan State Rugby! Before you fill out the Recruitment form I wanted to share a little more information about our team:

The Michigan State Universtiy Rugby Football Club (MSURFC) has played rugby in East Lansing since 1965. We currently compete in the D1A Big Ten Rugby Conference, the most competitive collegiate rugby league in the nation. In the fall we play 15’s and in the spring we play 7’s. As one of the nations top programs, we compete in top level events all over the country.

When we are not playing rugby, the team is still always together. Throughout the year we hold various social events like Hayride, Football Tailgates, and a Formal. This, combined with an amazing sport, breeds friendships that last a lifetime.

Outside of athletics, we also strive to see our players excel academically and professionally. Being the nations top research university, we make it our priority to provide players with the tools they need to succeed both on and off the field. This includes connecting them with over 50 years worth of alumni. Opening the door for many networking and career opportunities

As a growing sport, we are constantly looking for men, like yourself, who have experience playing sports like Football, Wrestling, Soccer, Lacrosse and, of course, Rugby. Skills from all these sports translate well in Rugby. While we love prior experience playing rugby, it is completely unecessary. About half of our current players have never played before arriving to MSU.

Please take the time to fill out this recruitment form, If you have any questions regarding our program, or MSU as a whole please do not hesitate to reach out to us at michiganstaterugby@gmail.com. I look forward to seeing you join the Spartan family!

Cheers,

Josh Ressio
